Alabama Man Charged After Keeping Meth-Fed Attack Squirrel Named Deez Nuts
Alabama man charged after keeping meth-fed attack squirrel named Deez Nuts

Mickey Paulk kept a squirrel in a cage that authorities alleged he fed methamphetamine to create an "attack squirrel."
The 35-year-old was first arrested on drug and firearm charges after fleeing police on a stolen motorcycle and ramming it into an investigator's vehicle.
The Raid and Discovery
Deputies seized meth, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition from Paulk's apartment during the raid.
Police found the squirrel locked in a cage and alleged Paulk had been feeding it methamphetamine to transform it into an attack animal.
What Paulk Said
Paulk denied the allegations, telling police "You can't give squirrels meth; it would kill them."
He later called into a radio station and stated "The squirrel isn't a trained attack squirrel, he is an asshole. He's got testicles, and that's all it takes."
The Squirrel's Fate
Officials released the squirrel back into the woods without determining if it actually had methamphetamine in its system, lacking a meth test designed for squirrels.
Paulk told reporters he found Deez Nuts in a nearby tree after hearing about the release and relocated the animal to Tennessee with friends.
Legal Consequences
Paulk posted bail but was later held after his probation was revoked from a robbery conviction.
He faces charges of possession of a wild animal, stolen property, and possession of a weapon by a felon, with his bench trial being delayed multiple times.
