Man Rips Fresh Tattoo Skin From Woman's Throat Over Mac and Cheese Dispute

A 25-year-old man ripped the skin from a woman's fresh neck tattoo during an argument over macaroni and cheese, leaving a 3-inch laceration across her entire throat.

Steven Wolfe now faces first-degree assault charges carrying a $250,000 bond.

The incident occurred March 30 at a residence on October Place in Rolla, Missouri, a small city roughly 100 miles southwest of St. Louis.

The victim had cooked dinner for Wolfe and another resident at what appears to be a group living facility.

The Attack

Wolfe became upset and told the woman the mac and cheese she made belonged to him.

When she tried explaining she had cooked the dinner for him and the other resident, Wolfe pinned her against the wall and grabbed her throat.

He then pulled at the skin where she had received a tattoo just five days earlier, ripping the skin from her neck.

The attack left scratch marks on her back and damaged her cellphone.

After the Violence

Immediately after the attack, Wolfe sat down at the table and began playing on his tablet.

An employee at the residence called 911, reporting an injury involving a "fresh tattoo."

First responders found the victim conscious but refusing to move her neck, with blood covering the front of her chest.

Legal Proceedings

Wolfe was charged with assault in the first degree causing serious physical injury.

He remains detained in Phelps County Jail.

The woman survived with a laceration stretching the entire width of her throat over a dinner she had cooked for him.
